TAKE TIME to think;
it is the source of power.
TAKE TIME to read;
it is the foundation of wisdom.
TAKE TIME to play;
it is the secret of staying young.
TAKE TIME to be quiet;
it is the moment to seek God.
TAKE TIME to be aware;
it is the opportunity to help others.
TAKE TIME to love and be loved;
it is God's greatest gift.
TAKE TIME to laugh;
it is the music of the soul.
TAKE TIME to be friendly;
it is the road to happiness.

The doing me technique by Christina Diaz
Have you ever watched the movie "Grosse Pointe Blank"?
In this movie, John Cusack is an assassin whose psychiatrist tries to persuade him not to kill. In a given moment, the psychiatrist tells John Cusack to repeat to himself "This is me breathing" to help him calm down.
In fact, this technique works to make yourself come back to the present. It is a great positive thinking exercise that you can practice anytime and observe interesting results.
For example:
Feel how more and more calm comes to you as you keep on repeating "This is me doing (whatever)".If you are washing dishes, start by saying to yourself "This is me washing dishes". Repeat it calmly, focusing on the very act of washing dishes. Pay attention to the elements involved: the water running down the dish, the smell of the soap, etc.
As you repeat to yourself "This is me doing (whatever)", you start feeling relaxed. Other matters loose importance; you're giving orders to your mind to actively focus on what you are doing, and only that.Then move on to the next task.
Keep on telling yourself what you are doing. "This is me walking upstairs", "This is me feeding the cat", etc.
After a few minutes of keeping focused and repeating to yourself what you are doing, you will probably experience a feeling of well-being and peace.
All stresses and worries may seem past or worthless. This is because your awareness of the immediate reality increases, leaving no room for thoughts about any other thing than the immediate present.
The Importance of Living in The present.
are just as hard to break as are bad habits."
Creating Positive Habits
A positive habit, therefore, it's an acquired positive behaviour or action.
It is actually quite easy to create good habits.
The problem lies in that we do not have a plan, a structure or any idea of how to go about it, and then "I wished I exercised more" stays in wishful thinking.
Here are some good habits that you may like to have:
- Exercising.
- Stop smoking.
- Feeling calm and getting rid of anxiety.
- Eating healthy.
- Feeling better about yourself.
- Being more appreciative of everything and being thankful daily.
- Being more organized.
- Meditating.
- Facing the day with a positive attitude.
You can incorporate to your life any positive habit, if you are consistent enough to take a few actions repeatedly for a specific amount of time.
